We're thankful that you've taken the first steps by checking us out, and we'd like to take this time to officially invite you to join us in person! Of course, if you still have some questions before you come, this is the place for answers: What do we belive? At South Jefferson, we accept the Scriptures as authority in matters of practicing faith and that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments were given by the inspiration of God and are the only sufficient, certain, and authoritative rule of all saving knowledge, faith, and obedience. There is but one God who is revealed to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each with distinct, personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being. He is the Maker, Preserver, and Ruler of all things, having in and of Himself all perfection, and being infinite in them all; and to Him all creatures owe the highest love, reverence, and obedience. Our spiritual leader is our pastor and being ordained of God and under the conviction of the Holy Spirit, it is his responsibility to lead us as a New Testament church. We have a number of small groups available at our church and we'd love for you to join in some of them. Your child is more than welcome to be with you during our worship services if you prefer. If you would rather worship and mingle with other adults, we have a full-service Nursery for bed babies and toddlers operated by church staff for all regular services. We also offer an Extended Session of the Sunday school for Pre-K and Kindergarten aged children along with Children’s Church for youngsters up to fourth grade, where your child will be given biblically-themed activities and taught the basics of worshipping God at a level they can appreciate. How can I join? Membership with South Jefferson consists first of your confessing Jesus Christ to be your Savior and Lord. If you are considering joining us from another church or faith by moving your church letter or making a statement of your faith, as they say in the TV show, “C’mon down!” Our pastor will welcome you at the service you want to make this known and he’ll present you to all of us who are going to welcome you by proclamation…that’s a fancy way of saying we’re going to clap or give a resounding, “Amen!” making you part of our family! --------------------------------- Of course, if you have any other questions that haven't been covered here, just [e-mail us] and ask.
